Discussion: Tomita: Planets (Ultimate Edition)

I have always been a fan of Tomita and I noticed that CDJapan on 1-23-13 will be releasing a brand new Tomita album entitled "Symphony Ihatov" as a hybrid 4.0 SACD. What I've been able to garner from the sketchy info: It was recorded LIVE at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall in late 2012 with a full orchestra and the Wagner Society Male Choir.

If anyone has further details, please fill us in.

Symphony Ihatov was performed at the Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall on 23rd Nov 2012
by the Japan Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Naoto Otomoa.

Some audio excerpts on Youtube
This is Tomita but, sans synths.

(a Rachmaninov Symphony No. 2 quote thrown in for ..who knows what reason.
Or ,perhaps we are to think of Eric Carmen's song from 1976
"Never Gonna Fall in Love Again" based on the third movement from the Second Symphony)

A Tomita release without a single synth sound on it... What's the point?

I won't be buying this from what I heard in the excerpt.

Tomita and no synth! Eh?

I just posted a review of his version of The Planets and couldn't praise it highly enough but sadly, after a quick listen to via the above link, I think I'll also give his forthcoming release a miss :(
