It is not clear to me what you are doing with so many speakers, but I am happy that you are enjoying it, though it would not be my cup of tea. I am not aware of any discretely recorded Mch media with more than 7.1 channels at the current time. There are ways of artificially synthesizing more output channels than that via DSP processing, such as Audyssey DSX and others. However, I really have not seen any favorable reviews of those techniques with music, though some like them with movies. Still, they do not interest me.
As for SACD and its 5.1 discrete channels, almost all recordings are engineered according to the ITU standard involving just 5 main speakers and possibly one or mre subs. To my mind, adding additional channels in parallel or via some sort of matrix can only smear what is on the original recording. I have no doubt that more speakers sound different than just 5.1, but which is right? I think the answer to that is abundantly clear.
