My god, you're not wrong - I'm just listening to this via Stax headphones.

This is an amazing remastering job when one considers this recording is now 50 years old... The clarity and sense of instrumental presence is uncanny.

Glad you like it gentlemen. The whole recording had suffered from the fact it had been recorded using two different sets of tapes at different sessions and so half of the symphony was at a different level to the other half. This has, I hope, been rectified now, giving a much more present and uniform sound across the whole piece. SG
