I just received this from Mofi. As with the first release, Milestones, this disc is the finest sacd to come along of this recording. I've had all of them, the US first release, the JSACD single layer, and the newer JSACD hybrid. This one trumps them all, and not by a small margin. Eventually I will be able to do a A/B with the JSACD hybrid, but not at the moment.
Whatever Mofi did with this is just simply super. If you like this music, these Mofi releases are the ones to get.

It's worth mentionning that the MoFi is mono while the previous SACDs were stereo.

Yes, the Mofi sacd's are mono. No one should be put off by that though as the sound is simply stunning.
However, the 1955 and 1956 recording sessions for the Round About Midnight selections were recorded in mono, according to the Legacy box set notes.

Not having this disc - could I ask one of you to "report an error" so that the content can be corrected? Thanks!

Sorry, that's rubbish. I was confused with those pre-Kind of Blue sessions.

These are mono recordings from 1956 and 55, the previous SACDs were mono too despite stating stereo.

It's the "Milestones" album from 1958 that was released in stereo by Sony and in mono by MFSL

If you can't wait, direct from the manufacturer.
