Most impressive when viewed full screen.
It's the best sounding solo harp recording of my experience. Very realistic, and has been a sell out in Europe. Very special.
So, what I want to know is when is the Blu~Ray video coming out...........
Thanks for sharing, tailspn, the B&W photograpy in full screen was absolutely stunning as was the sublime harp solo.

I watched the video and immediately ordfered it from CC. Great recording, hypnotic music! Give a listen! ps... I'm not a Glass fan, nor am I moved by much solo harp music. The woman is magical.

Seemed like a good idea, so I followed your lead. The music seems well adapted to harp. Perhaps even more so than the piano, although the rapid rhythmic plucking in certain places seems a bit strained.

If you like Glass, the rich sonorities of the harp make this disk truly captivating.

The video is excellent, Glass music repetitive nature never been my cup of tea, to me this is just good movie music but not something that you would listen and come back over the years.

Agreed, it's very simple serialism without depth. It has its own appeal, although Glass is often accused of writing music that "sounds the same."

I notice from Channel Classics site that this disc has sold 15,000+ copies in Holland alone!

Pretty amazing when you consider that 15 thousand copies sold world-wide would be a pretty big hit for "classical music".
I really like this disc, and I've not been attracted to Glass in the past.
