Per the requested focus on SQ:

Claire Martin, with Kenny Barron: Too Much in Love to Care (Linn)

Kodaly, Ravel, Schulhoff: Duos for violin & cello - Liza & Dmitry Ferschtman (Challenge)

Mahler: Symphony No. 5, Pittsburgh SO, Honeck (Exton)

I got that Kodály, Ravel, Schulhoff disc fairly recently too. Phenomenally good sound and fascinating music and performance. Up close on my Stax headphones it's an amazing experience.

Allan Pettersson's Symphony 6 on BIS
Smetana's Má Vlast on BIS too
Debussy Orchestral Works on Chandos (Deneve)
Now in the player: Both Sides Now with Hakan Hardenberger on BIS
Could one at least mention one worst one?

Easy: Beethoven: The Symphonies - Bruggen

Best? Trickier - a lot trickier but I'll plump for Dvorak: String Quintet Op. 77 - Berlin Philharmonic String Quintet

I have enjoyed the uniquely positive aspects of this thread.

the new Linn disc of Zelenka Sonatas.

Thanks for the tip. It doesn't seem to be listed here yet -- would you be able to?

Just submitted it--will take a few days for approval. In the meantime, here is the back cover image. For some reason, the only reference to it being an SACD is on the disc itself!

Re the Zelenka, - a trifecta of great sound, great performance and great music.

Thanks -- just placed my order. Looking forward with interest. Holliger, Zehetmeier, Bourgue, Thunemann, Jaccottet et al. have kept me captive to this music for long (on ECM -- what a great recording on all those three counts that, too, is).

Tony Bennett & k.d. lang: A Wonderful World

I have not delved into all the multi channel aspects, yet.
But the vocals, both sound and performance, are wonderful.

Incredible.
