OK lets, for second, say that I may go this route.
Questions are:

* how can the two HDMI outs be configured (both video, one audio other video etc...)
* Is the DSD to PCM quality sufficient (24/192KHz/5.1 ?)
* Is the drive silent? Most of these players are noisy as hell...
* No way to go next track without remote ?

Thanks...

Points:
1. HDMI outputs are quite flexible and may be configured for your specific requirements:
a. video only on first output and audio only on second.
b. video and audio on both.
c. Second HDMI ouiput may turned off, IIRC.

2. I've had the predecessor to this machine (BDP-S770) for the past 18 months. SA-CD DSD to PCM conversion sampling rate is at 176.4 kHz for all Sx70 and Sx80 models. There no reason to doubt the Sx90 models are any different in this respect. However, since I'm considering the BDP-S790 as a backup to my S770, I've asked for confirmation of this from a reviewer who will be publishing a review of this player this coming week:

My question is on post 1523 on page 51 and his response is on the following post, number 1524.

3. My S770 has been quiet and trouble-free. No reason to doubt the S790 would be any different.

4. True, that. However, I use a Harmony One so that makes no difference to me. Suggest you get one of those as well.
