Coming from Audio Fidelity in late April.

Billy Joel - Streetlife Serenade 4.0

Label - Nightbirds 4.0

Patti Labelle's Nightbirds is a R&B classic with the fantastic Lady Marmalade.......

Great to have another Billy Joel in 4.0, as well.

Late April..........bless Audio Fidelity.

BTW, I LOVED The Best of Bread. Another homerun for AF.

Sony is also releasing two more compilations akin to the 80's hits SACD comp. Will furnish more details soon.
Some Sade, Melissa Manchester, Whitney Houston on one and some love songs from Rock Bands (Boston, etc) on the other.......both will be stereo SACDs.

I saw those releasing in April also. A good month.

Women's Stories is one and Greatest ROCK Ballads is the other (REO Speedwagon, Boston, Santana, Meatloaf, etc.).

I did buy both of the 80's SACD compilations from SONY and they sound Great.

At least we're getting 'some' SACD movement from SONY, hoop.

BTW, agree with your assessment of The Best of the Guess WHO (AF 4.0 SACD)......nice but NOT great!

All the 4.0 are as is, no tinkering with sound so, most are good but a few no so great. The 2.0 that Steve H. did sounds very good.

Will have to listen to the SH stereo remix. A lot of disgruntled posters over at Amazon who felt the same about the 4.0 Guess Who mix. But keep thinking about what Bmoura (Brian) said about hearing it on his Meitner set~up. Makes one think.

Will give the 4.0 SACD another spin tonight.

I thought the MCH of Best of the Guess Who sounded very good. Not great but pretty close. But still, given the time period, it is probably the best these will ever sound. Absolutely love "Undun." I never realized that was their song. A surprisingly versatile band.

In all honesty, I have been thrilled with ALL the AF multichannel releases. The Best of the Guess Who, musically, is superb but I suppose I was comparing it to Child Is Father To The Man (Al Kooper's 5.1 remix) which was (on my system) breathtakingly spectacular for an album of that vintage.
"If You Build it....they will come" (Field of Dreams) and as AF literally churns out 5.1/4.0 SACDs.....I WILL BUY!

Guess Who was just one of my favorite bands of that era. Love Moody Blues, Chicago, Bread, Pink Floyd, Beatles, Grass Roots, etc., etc., etc.

FD, am going to see the Moody Blues on Saturday at our local Capitol theater. Agree with ALL your choices and then some.

Look forward to the upcoming AF 4.0 remasters of Earth, Wind and Fire (Open Our Eyes), Patti Labelle's Nightbirds and Billy Joel's Streetlight Serenade.
