Dear Mr.Clark,
Looking in this link seems to me you should have received the regular CD ( 16/44 rbCD ), not the SACD.
Please, do inform us what you really receive ?

(correction I paid exactly US$28)

I have it in my hands as I type.

Both the packaging and the 2 disks contain the SACD ensignia and,
"This Hybrid Multi-Channel / Stereo SACD plays on any standard CD player"

The plastic case is of the Super Audio type (smooth rounded corners).
The data side of the disks themselves are gold.
My Oppo player confirms they are SACDs
UPC code = 0 94633 49962 1

Care to make an offer? :-P

Yes - sounds like you've got the genuine article. The two discs are secured on one column in the case, i.e. one on top of the other. Well done!

I think you'll be impressed with the album. I was very lucky, as I managed to get mine for about GBP 10.50 - but that was around a year and a half ago.

I am still waiting for mine but even judging by DTS mix on the DVD it is excellent. Of course, being a lifetime Kraftwerk fan and dealing with the fact that we have been waiting for a new Kraftwerk release for about 20 years I am clearly biased.

Hopefully SACD version will be even better than DTS...

Can we still hope for Der Katalog, or whatever, to be ever released, now that Herr Schneider has left? BTW it just occurred to me: whatever can HE do without KW? I mean, he has been Mr. Kraftwerk...

Oddly, russian EMI distributor offers this SACD at 1215 RUR (34,5$ or 27 euro) http://www.plegion.ru/item.html?Articul=EMI3118282 !!!
I have already this album on japanese edition and it sounds excellent. Just in case i've ordered this, considering prices on Amazons. Maybe it's just a new pressing? Is there a real improvement in sacd stereo over plain RBCD? Is it a DSD recording?

Good find! However, Purple Legion are notorious for outdated online listings. To the best of my knowledge, there are English and German SACD versions available, so your Japanese edition must be a regular (red-book) CD, right? Anyway, cross your fingers and give them 10 days to see how accurate their catalogue is...

Yes, my japanese Toshiba-EMI edition is RBCD. Purple Legion stocks only german version SACD of Kraftwerk.

I've just realised that I've never mentioned that I ordered a second copy of the set, which arrived many moons ago and both discs were flawless this time.

It's interesting, though, that nobody else seems to have ever received a faulty first disc.

It's certainly a superb set with outstandingly good sound.
