Hi,

I have come across a site selling the Hong Kong-imported SACD of Gabriel Yared's score to the 1996 film "The English Patient." I have searched everywhere for it on-line and they are the only site I can find that even sells it. No one is selling it on eBay, and no one sold it on eBay in the past month.

Is this a good buy? How much do you think it is worth?

Acoustic Sounds has it in stock ($30), and the UK store DVD4music.com is offering it too (£30!).

Definitely a soundtrack worth having!

Think I bought my copy awhile back for under A$30

I bought this for $20 (USD) this summer at a home electronics show where SACD featured really high in the marketplace area. Only one place had it. I listened to it and I found several of the Gabriel Yared tracks to be really great. The SACD sound is very clear and analytical. It sounds slightly shrill though, in a PCM-based kind of way. It's also multi-channel.

I think it's pretty hard to find, but if you really like the material, it might be worth it to you to go the extra mile for it.
