Discussion: Music for Compline - Stile Antico

I've had great enjoyment from this disc since I bought last month, so much so that I've bought all the rest of Stile Antico's Harmonia Mundi SACDs.

Tudor church music is not a genre I was familiar with but the liner notes really help to explain the religious and historical context of these pieces, which are, beautiful to hear and very well recorded in pure DSD.

Anyone heard this disc or others from Stile Antico?

I too have this and like it very much, though I like the two others I have, their Christmas disc Puer Natus est, and Heavenly Harmonies (Byrd & Tallis), even more. They are a very skilful group, make a very beautiful sound, produce interesting programmes and are superbly recorded. I hope to get the remaining discs before long. If you like this you may also enjoy Cinquecento's discs on Hyperion (sadly RBCD only of course) - they are a smaller group but make a wonderfully rich sound.
