Good afternoon.
CD Japan is releasing the following Dire Straits titles in SACD format in February 2012 -
Communique
Making Movies
Brothers In Arms
Alchemy: Dire Straits Live
Be interesting to see if the sound quality can be improved on Brothers In Arms from the 5.1 release of a few years ago. That release IMHO is stellar !!!

You forgot to mention that Olivia Newton-John's "Physical" album is also set for release as a SHM-SACD in 02/2012.

This thread got me excited and made me visit their website. There I could see that Oldfield's Ommadawn is getting released in Feb too! No one had mentioned that either...

Wasn't Brothers in Arms an early DDD recording? Not sure how they can improve it on SACD (I got the SACD that's available here in music, but only as I hadn't upgraded from cassette!).
I'm pretty sure the rest were analogue recordings, and based on the incredible job they've done with DS and LOG, I'll be queuing up. I think DS is already OOP.
[EDIT] Can't see Alchemy Live :-(
[EDIT] DS is still available on CDJapan, so get it sooner rather than later if you're interested.

Yes, a full digital (DDD) rock recording made in 1985 at 16/44.1kHz. There is an in-print SACD version for $12.73 Dire Straits: Brothers in Arms which I assume was released for the multichannel program.

For what its worth, three more Queen titles round out the Rock SHM-SACD's for Feb 2012: Flash Gordon, The Game, Jazz
I wonder how many people will be spending 60 bucks on Flash Gordon. :)

Would rather (or rather not) spend $10 for the BD movie version with DTS Master Audio 5.1.
