This doesn't solve the dim display problem, but I could even live with that if the unit would just play all of my SACD's.
The display on a Marantz player can usually be adjusted for several levels of brightness including off with a button on the front panel. Does that model have such a function.?
It does, but even on the brightest setting, it's still much dimmer than it should be. The pixels are also of uneven brightness. All of this suggests an aging VFD, which seems to be a part I can't locate easily.
