Doesn't ANYONE at MoFi ever read the postings regarding SA~CDnet's wishlists?

Where are the Warren Zevon SACDs!!! We need his debut, Excitably Boy, and Stand in the Fire.

And Pink Floyd's The Wall, and Is There Anybody Out There.

i never bought miles davis sacds when they were available before (save 1), so i'm psyched to see these new releases as my way in without the premium prices of oop titles.

i also bought the live bootleg series set. i've only checked out the dvd so far, which i enjoyed. i always like to see live footage!

Any news?

No change since the first announcement.

The SACDs are still listed for preorder on the MusicDirect site (owner of the MoFi Label), without a release date.

As usual with MoFi discs, so no need to worry, but you must have patience with them.

This puts me in a quandary. I'd noticed the Mo-Fi vinyl releases of the Miles albums on sale in the UK soon and was quite excited as I don't own any of them on vinyl. The thing is, I'm enjoying my SACDs so much these days that I'm thinking of selling my turntable. Then today I see the same Miles albums are coming out on SACD too. So I really must decide whether to go LP or SACD on these releases. If I'm going to buy the SACD versions - even though we're talking about material originally recorded in analogue - I might as well sell the turntable. Afterall why have a turntable if I'm not going to use it for stuff like this? Any thoughts anyone?

The other thing is - which other members have mentioned - is that these discs have mostly been issued before and some are not that hard/expensive to find. KoB again! Seriously?! On vinyl I'm interested (maybe) because I already have an old SACD. Equally IASW, fantastic album but easily available online in SACD form for reasonable money. Why oh why can we not have the hard to get OOP Miles SACDs? And whoever said Nefertiti - I would love to have that on SACD! One of my favourites. Milestones looks good, but I don't understand the mono obsession.

Someday My Prince Will Come? Not on SACD he won't!

Woops! Just discovered AP released the very same album on SACD last year.

And in three channel.....Nagraboy. Superb sounding reissue. I still prefer AP over MOFi. Their Impulse SACDs are also incredible (as are the Blue Note SACDs). And if you like Ella Fitzgerald, then AP's SACD of Clap Your Hands, Here Comes Charlie is a definite no~brainer. Even sounded amazing as a Gold RBCD. Another superb 3~channel AP Miles Davis Release is Seven Steps To Heaven.

I've got the AP Seven Steps SACD - indeed it's superb. Also got Blue Train on AP. The other AP Blue Notes are £19 including P&P on Amazon UK, so I will probably get a few soon. It's funny when you see the RVG redbook versions for about £4 nest to them, but we have to pay what it costs if we want them.

Might start with Midnight Blue - Kenny Burrell...

The AP reissues are indeed expensive, but you very much get what you pay for. The AP Impulse! and Blue Notes are excellent across the board, in my experience -- including, to stick with Miles, a great-sounding version of Somethin' Else.

If they go back to the original masters of these it will be worth it. The Mark Wilder remasters, from which virtually every existing release is from, are horrible, IMO.
