Can you imagine we have 2 releases of this middling music? And when I say middling, I mean it as the Sterling release isn't all that impressive. Just what can be said about the BIS that generates any kind of excitement?

That it is a BIS release, with all that that should mean. With all due respect, there are differences in the sound and playing - and Christian Lindberg is playing the Trombone Concerto.
But I agree, the repertoire duplication is unfortunate. Neither of us knew of the other's plans.

Reminds me of the Prague Symphony Orchestra, which is known in Czech as Symfonicky orchestr hlavniho mesta Prahy FOK [Film-Opera-Koncert].
