If you are on the Brit side of the Atlantic and/or never have seen the film, "The Plow that Broke the Plains", let me point out that the film is not a flag-waving piece of Yankee propaganda. Rather, it is a tragedy of failed dreams, full of dust storms, abandoned farms and gaunt-faced farmwives holding hungry children. View the film if you can, in order to hear what Thomson created.
