Busy is an understatement. He literally works 16+ hours a day, 7 days a week. It's a constant cycle of driving to and from sessions, setting up/loading out the kit, editing previous projects, and the all time winner, supporting download customers who can't get their downloads to download.

But lots of projects to be released. The Wagner is AMAZING!

Thanks.

I've been looking, for now what seems like forever, for a decent Tannhäuser Overture for my collection. Now seems like a rather high probability of it arriving quite soon.

The program says: Tannhäuser Overture and Bacchanale. This would suggest we will get only half the overture. This is because in the Paris version the Bacchanale takes over before the overture comes to its triumphant conclusion. Solti recorded the two pieces separately (on a disc with Wagner overtures, but not in the complete recording).

Just noticed at New Releases page of CC site that two new potentially "must have" titles will be released in March:
1) Rhapsody. Ravel, Bartók
2) Wagner: Götterdämmerung, Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Tannhäuser (excerpts)

Does anyone have specific information of these, especially of what excerpts of Tannhäuser to be on disk?

Now it says Wagner to be released in April.

I've just visited CC site and sent email requesting content of each title. When I receive a response, I'll post it here.

BTW, I quite like the Wagner cover art:

Sorry for the downtime! As you all know, I would rather be behind the microphone than in front so I do read threads pretty regularly, its just that with all the work of recording, editing, etc, and support to our customers I find it hard to switch hats sometimes.
I am indeed going to be in San Francisco on the 3rd of March. Some of us are going to get together for an afternoon of listening and talking, so let me know if there is anyone interested in being part of the group.

In the meantime, I am waiting for Ivan to get his downtime this coming week to do the final listening for the Wagner. He promised!
I did just spend the whole afternoon and evening here in my studio with Rachel Podger finishing up her next edition of our Bach series with her own ensemble of Brecon Baroque. We are both excited about this release which will match the first edition of Bach Concerti. This time the double, Triple, triple with traverso and harpsichord, and double with Oboe.

And in a week, I have two new ensembles presenting their first releases with Channel that I am very happy about.
So thanks for your continued support and interest in our artists

I totally botched the adding up the timings!

Solid lineup of Wagner excerpts.

I am a bit disappointed that the announced release of Tschaikowskys violin concerto with Ning Feng has been cancelled - hope not definitely.
