BBC Music Magazine wrote: "a magisterial performance, closely attentive to detail, in which the continental influences are highlighted as never before… The climax of 'Uranus' is a thriller: a massive build-up, with the famous organ glissando not spotlighted but spreading a great cloud of atmospherics in its wake. Rattle also makes the best case yet for Colin Matthews's 'extra' planet 'Pluto'". (Five stars & Orchestral Choice (September 2006))

Is this 5.0 or 5.1 multi-channel?

Has anybody heard this on surround? I want to hear your comments about the surround layer. Is this real 5.1? Is there other reviews? It doesn't make sense to pay almost 30£ if the results are only three stars.

Luukas, The first post of the thread seems to indicate that despite the description claiming it was multichannel, this release is in fact only stereo.

OK, but this site tells that the discs are also mixed to multi-channel. What a mistake... Does anybody know where can I find the multi-channel version?

It's no mistake. I have the discs & it is multi-channel. I haven't listened to it for a while though - will pop it in the player over the weekend.

OK, thanks. Write a review, please! Or - at least - write what you think about it.

Am I the only one who finds it odd that recordings from this once-great British recording company now cost so much here in Britain?

Thanks to globalisation...

And to make things worse, they don't even have that once-great British recording company logo anymore.

Thanks to globalisation...
