So are we to presume Teaser and the Firecat is next? That is perhaps Cat's greatest, IMHO.

Oh, you mean IMHO doesn't mean in my honest opinion. ;)

Ah, but I'm being humbled every day

Anyway, I still remember the day I went to downtown Selma, CA in 100+ degree heat in my jeans and bought Teaser and the Firecat on LP back in 1973. I was cooking by the time I got back to where we were staying.

BTW, does anyone ever tie a SACD, CD, LP, or whatever to where you first bought it? I can almost remember all the important recordings in my life with some event.

I can tell you where and when I bought most of my "special" LP's and SACD's.

Going through browsers from store to store with friends makes the buying experience a lot more fun and memorable. But I find flipping through pages on a website and paying on-line is much less of a event to the shopping experience.

Very impressed with this SACD. Just received it and compared to my MFSL gold disc of this album. The SACD is clean, warm, and just breathes better; whereas the gold disc seems darker and more veiled. Its exciting to have more SACD's coming our way. Would love to see Teaser and the Firecat next :)

One of my favourite sacd's. Also hoping for Mona Bone Jakon and Teaser and the Firecat.

Please AP!

Is this a Grimm or Meitner Sacd?

The recent review on this site by Budesonide mentions "a DR Value of 13". What is this about, a measure of the dynamic range?

Yes, a DR of 13 is absolutely magnificent particular amidst today's recordings which are anywhere from 3dB to 6dB of DR.

You can see the DR database here - http://www.dr.loudness-war.info/

Sort by year and you'll see that 2012 so far is chock a block full of lifeless recordings.
