The panels focused on how the consumer could raise he awareness level of the labels and download sites of the desirability of making available DSD downloads of material already recorded, and encouraging them to record more productions in DSD. The exhibitors playing DSD downloads using both the Playback Designs, and the Mytek Stereo 192 DACs were doing a brisk business. The Sony speaker room with their Mytek was especially active.
Record labels won't probably offer their DSD masters for sale unless there's bigger market penetration of DSD USB DACs. The fact that manufacturers - who weren't previously keen to support SACD - are today starting embracing DSD over USB is a good sign for the future.

What really confuses me is why are DSD DACs so prevalent in mainstream home theater receivers, yet are virtually non existent in standalone DAC units.
