Wow! What a great sounding multi-channel SACD. Polyhymnia has produced a textbook recording with ideal MCH imaging and great instrument details. Strings are cleaner, and more realistic then many past releases. Instruments stand out and are distinct from one another without the close miced feeling. Very natural and realistic. The piano in the D'Indy is center channel supported (like most/all Polyhymnia solo instrument/orchestra recordings) , not panned to the center or phantomed from the left and right speakers, well balanced, and is as you would hear it in a concert. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the tip I am looking forward to it and the fact that the music is new to me.
Pentatone is one of my favorite label when it comes to audio quality.

Yet, some people still insist on slagging off Janowski
