A review on CD Japan says this release is not multichannel, only the 2003 release is MCH.

Can anyone confirm?

Yes, the new SHM-SACD release of Electric Warrior is only stereo. The 2003 OOP Hybrid is 5.1 Multichannel. I haven't heard the new release but I have the 2003 and love it.
