Sometimes, changing a disk is just too much, spoilt as we are with remote controls, wireless computers, mobile phoned, etc. With this increase in laziness; sorry, convenience; is there a several hundred disk multichanger that can handle sacd and blu ray? P.s. has to be European model!

I have wanted one for a long time - at least the SACD server - and am in Europe.
I think we need hobbyist skills to adapt multi disk CD mechanism by replacing CD deck part with SACD/multidisk player with integral DSD/192k/24 decoding to analogue outputs.

Those machines are now a thing of the past. Just rip the signal to a hard disk music/video server and play form there. Cheaper, faster, more reliable.

But don't forget to back up your files, hard disks are not as reliable as you would think.

Before a listening session, drink a double expresso and then see how much energy you can conjure up to "laboriously" change those discs!

The file size of the feature on a Blu-ray can be anywhere from 25 GB to 45+ GB (the largest I've seen is 46). So you're going to be spending a lot of money on hard drives if you start ripping Blu-ray discs.

At the local PC shop a 2 TB external drive was 110€, which would hold at least 40 HD movies at BR quality. That comes to 2.75€/movie. With internal drives even less, maybe around 1.50€/movie, backed up to second drive: 3€/movie. Is that much?
Academical, as nobody is going to make 200 disk multidisk players anymore. Media servers are the only choice left.
