This recording (hybrid SACD) can now also be pre-ordered at the amazon.de website. It is scheduled to be released on July 18.

Have you seen confirmation on BMG's site that this is a SA-CD?

Any idea on whether this will be released in the states? I very much like what Harnoncourt did to Aida, despite the two leads, and am anxious to hear this recording. Cheers!

This recording is excellent with finally an understanding of how to conduct Verdi with theatricality and passion (unlike his tepid, dull AIDA). Also, the soloists are not strained or over-parted. Definitely add this to your collections.
