Hi Steve,
My SA8260 gives me the "No Disc" error after about an hour of playing. Either when I play hybrid SACD, it only reads the CD layer and never success to switch to SACD mode. I would like to give this a try. Would you mind sending me the instruction that how to add the 1K resistor trick and see if its fix the problem? Thank you so much.

Hi Steve,
My SA8260 was also acting up, displaying "No Disc" message with pretty much everything. So I had the laser unit replaced, now it works perfectly with SACDs but "No Disc" message for redbook Audio CDs.
Any thoughts?! I don't think it's got the 1K resistor fix, I'm willing to give it a try.
Will you be so generous and send me the repair instructions?
