Are half of the titles from there legitimate? I see so many discs of performances that don't seem to exist anywhere else (for sale on eBay) and just the photos and listings make me uncertain whether these are all just fabrications.

If it's linked to from here it's legitimate.

Whilst you're at it, can you not link the Japanese site to an English language version? Even with Google Translate, I am hesitant to risk buying from them as postage can be prohibitively expensive and have zero confidence in being able to navigate through to select standard postage.

No such problems with CDJapan

I ordered some (elsewhere very expensive) Rolling Stones albums and am really praying these have the SACD format, and not just DSD.... I will inform you when I get them.

Strange experience over here! I recieved today the two albums of the Rolling Stones which I purchased by the Italian Amazon.

The first one was a big disappointment: the 'Singles Collection - The London Years', for which I payed 30 euro, turned out to be a fatboy jewelbox instead of the foldout digipack. So I knew immediately this will not be the SACD version, but a DSD remaster (so just a redbook). Even worse was the fact the 3CD box (strangely enough being mailed by the English Amazon) was completeley smashed by the post...

The big surprise was the next parcel I opened, which was the album 'Between the Buttons'. It turned out to be a real SACD for which I really payed just 16,79 euro (ca. 20 dollar)! Yes, it was the one of the famous Abcko edition of 2002 which is elsewhere at Amazon to get for far much more than 40 dollars (and even then just used ones)!

So purchasing SACD albums of the Stones at Amazon.it is really a hit and a miss. If someone else is trying to get cheap SACD (or so called 'SACD', which is DSD) albums at the Italian Amazon, please, keep informing us!
