FYI: This is a tough one to find these days..at least the SACD version.
3 resellers that I ordered this from (including Amazon.com) sent me the CD version instead.
( I was refunded the purchase price, and have 3 CDs of this recording now)

I finally got the SACD at Cdzone.co.uk

In stock at amazon.co.uk, amazon.de and amazon.fr for a not excessive amount.

Did you check Berkshire Record Outlet? I picked one up for less than $10.00 approximately one month ago.

Thanks people for the hindsight.

The point I was making was all 3 distributors I ordered from
claimed that they had the SACD version, when in fact they only
had the CD version, and did not know the difference and shipped
it anyway.
Cdzone checked their warehouse stock first, before they shipped.

Is it that significant? Very much of a Curate'e Egg that has not received much air time at all in this household. It's one of those discs that sits in our drawer and gets passed over most every time we choose a concert.

Personally, I think this disk is one of the better Telarcs, as are most of their Cincinnatti recordings. I use it frequently in equipment comparisons, and, surprisingly, I do not tire of the music at all.

I agree it is one of my favorites as well!

I would have to agree with hiredfox, that this holds little interest for me after a few playings. The Debussy has been much better served elsewhere, and the Turina is pleasant, but also not a very interesting performance (not that there are any other options out there currently). Sound quality doesn't trump uninteresting performances for me.
