Because of the huge price difference between some Japanese versions of SACDs compared to the North American/European versions of the same title, maybe this site should be specific to the particular version of SACD.
I will give 2 examples.
Genesis SACD from 1983 (UK) can be picked up for $20 - $30 on Amazon.co.uk currently. But the Japanese OBI version is OOP, so therefore it is difficult to get this title on Amazon for less than $150. Yet there is only one placeholder on SA-CD.net for this album.
Likewise The Rolling Stones Through The Past Darkly SACD (UK) can be picked up for $30 - $40 while the Japanese version, because it is OOP cannot be bagged for less than $200.

That would be too much redundant listing. I would say not to do it.

Just my 2 cents.

Once I compared Japan version and US version (both Single Layer) of Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn: Violin Concertos - Stern , totally difference sounding, I believe the mastering were done by difference teams in Japan and US. I found the US version sound the most natural and vinyl like sounding, Japan version boast the clarity and details, but sounding was over polished.

How so?
The way it is is now, this site does not give an accurate indication of the price of the SACD and what type of SACD it is. It differenciates the SHM-SACDs from the Western counterparts, so why can't it do the same for all Japanese versions. The prices are just meaningless otherwise.

How many labels do seperate releases for the US/Europe and Japan? Quite a number of titles are already listed seperately here.

Carrolls, Zeus eliminated the domestic SACD listings of the Rolling Stones as they reused the SAME UPC for the CD versions that replaced the SACD versions. So only the Japanese versions are listed as they can be verified as SACDs by their UPC codes. The only way to ensure a Rolling Stones domestic SACD is to confirm it is in a digipak not a jewel case.

Zeus has done this with all out of print SACDs that recycled the UPCs for later CDs that replaced them.

Unless explicitly mentioned, Sony Japan probably never had an access to (therefore never used) the original "studio master tapes" for those SACDs. My guess is that, mostly, they used license (nth generation) copies of "production masters".

Fair point DSD,
I can see how the Stones Red Book and SACD versions with the same UPC could give misleading results with Amazon.
But the 14 Japanese Genesis Mini LPs should have seperate listings.
By the way Teresa, I love your dedication to SACD, and keep it up.
Thanks

In general, if the content is the same (same master, track listing, format) all pressings are linked to a single title listing here. This is deliberate so as to collate reviews in a single place. Where multiple pressings exist (for example US, UK and Japanese) these will all be linked to the same title entry and the one with the lowest new price will be shown. This is determined dynamically by interrogating Amazon's database. The assumption here is that you'll generally be interested in cheapest version available. There is however an override for some titles (for example Genesis) where the appropriate PAL or NTSC version is selected. Such an override could I suppose be removed now that copies of either are becoming scarce.

For discs with recycled UPCs/barcodes, as Teresa has pointed out, the links will be pulled immediately it comes to my notice ... even if SA-CDs with that barcode are still available.

Also the track sequence is difference between Japan and US version of Stern plays Tchaikovsky/Mendelssohn, US version is Tchaikovsky first then Mendelssohn, Japanese version is Mendelssohn first, then Tchaikovsky.
