This may be a newbie question, but then...I am new to this site, SACD and this forum.

The reviews have icon(s) that show whether the recording is multi-channel, Hybrid or DSD.

I assume Multi-Channel means 5.1 channels.

Hybrid...?

DSD probably means it was recorded totally digitally and is not a digitized originally analog recording.

Am I close on any of these?

Thanks in advance

"Multichannel" means that the disc carries a separate signal from the stereo one. This multichannel signal can be anywhere from 3 to 6 channels.

"Hybrid" means that the disc has a CD-compatible layer for playback in legacy CD players.

"DSD" means that it is an "Original DSD Recording". It may however have gone through other processes in mastering though.
