I have a much-loved redbook CD of Chants d'Auvergne by Jill Gomez; now I have the SACD by Veronique Gens. As always, the SACD makes the old CD sound like wet newspaper.
QUESTION: has anyone listened to both the Gens and the Davrath SACDs?
The Gens has 21 selections; the Davrath merely 12. Are there qualities to the Davrath recording which would justify paying twice the price?
