Agree - but hopefully in a better quality, than they made in the 'original'.
Garfunkels voice is so "distorted" especially in the last part - the "grande finale"
I have the original vinyl, an "Mobile Fidelity" vinyl-edition, and finaly an normal CD. All of them are distorted.

Short Story: Roy Hallee, S&G's original producer was a customer at the Audio store I used to frequent in Scarsdale, NY and he told the proprietor that the Simon and Garfunkel mastertapes were in dreadful shape (this around the early '80s) due to extensive splicing.
Hopefully, the Quad mastertape made in the early 70's (assuming it has not been tampered with) should be in excellent shape but that distortion at the end of BOTW might just be oversaturation ( perhaps Pro Tools can work their magic.....)or they can call upon Art Garfunkel to re~dub (not likely since he can't possibly hit those extremely high notes at his age)
IMO, I don't think AP will release a less than stellar product but of course, there will always be exceptions.
