I can back this up a little. I tend to get wind of where Sonomas end up, and as far as "Columbia" goes, recently, I can underscore: the man ain't making up rumors.

So, are you imply this stuff would be from Japan label? such as Sonama?

Not to speak for Michi, but he is implying that a certain high end SACD re~releasing company is going to mine the Columbia (US) catalog for some choice multi~channel SACD remasters and among those will be Simon and Garfunkel and some Bob Dylan m/c SACDs as well as a few surprises (which Michi would know more about than I do) Com'on Michi, spill the beans....we are all anxious to find out what your friends have in store? Most of these new SACDs won't be released until sometime in 2011, though.

Agreed. There's still no credible news here.

I think Michi is a credible source of information on new sacd/sonoma projects (she works at the SA Center, doesn't she?)

When/If something comes of this it will be news and not a secret. As for now it's all just a rumour.

Like the SACD IS DEAD RUMOR? Just be positive and by 2011 you'll be playing S&G in multi~channel in your listening room along with other delights from the Columbia treasure chest!

There are a lot of reasons publishers don't want "secrets" out, not many of them I fully understand. That said, bean-spilling is not my decision to make. Unfortunately.

Audioholik: Yes.

stvnharr: You're correct, anything could happen. (meteorite->earth, certain people hit by a bus, globalthermonuclear war, etc.) Perhaps a certain distributor just kept a hole in their catalog #s to air it out. Didn't anyone else notice that?

Rammiepie: Anyone care to wager against Rammie's prediction? I could use some new 12ax7s.

Non-sequitur: Philips hardware DST compressors are heavy.

Addendum: SACD really, really, really isn't dead. Hoo boy is it not dead.

Fortune cookie say: your SACD collection increase in classic rock titles in 2010 and 2011.

That cryptic enough?
