Harmonia mundi's release of Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony (RPO, Gatti) is also pure DSD. But what a disappointment - opaque soundstage, lack of detail, no bloom on the woodwind.

Really??? I'm not hearing any of this, and in fact was astonished by the transparency, bloom and depth. I thought it was a stand-out. Interesting.

think it's excellent as well, my favourite for Tchaikovsky 5 on SA-CD and CD.
