Yesterday my wife and I were discussing the possibility of converting the garrage into a HT room. That might happen. The biggest part will be bringing up the floor to 15 feet above sealevel.

It's probably more than you want to spend, but if you can make the stretch, I'd take a look at the Linar Audio Model 10. It's a five-channel integrated amplifier. I own it and am extremely happy with its performance (check my profile). There's usually one for sale on Audiogon (new in box) and I'll bet you could have it for ~$2900 ($4250 MSRP).
