Very much looking forward to this. A great addition to the SACD catalog. Amidst to endless flow of Mahler releases, this is a breath of fresh air. Here's to hoping for equally fine performances.

This could be a fine disc, although I fancy that the Previn/LSO account of the B flat minor on RCA will not be easily surpassed, and neither will the Szell/Cleveland account of the second.
I also wonder if a French orchestra has the right sound for this music?

Lille is in the extreme north of France, just 100 miles from the UK, so the orchestra probably doesn't sound purely french anyway ;-)

Andrew Litton was majestic with his Walton Cycle with the Bournemouth Symphony, still a collector's first choice item but not on SACD and thankfully not on Naxos!
LSO have recorded No1 in DSD a year or two ago.
