Any idea when the 2011 models will start shipping in the US ?

Yes, between February and May. See the first link for the month each model becomes available.

I have the same "T" problem with SACD on BDP-S770. RBCD are OK as they display correct track information. It's a strange problem.

I've contacted Sony support; their response is that it's designed that way. Use your display device for track information. Quite inconsistent design to say the least.

...

Great nonsense: it was designed that way because the project deadline was about to run out, omitting features the least number of people would be missing, probably.

I noticed another strange shortcoming of the BDP-470: no direct track access, neither for (RB)CD nor SACD. Pressing a numeric key on the remote has no effect while playing any audio disc. This is a capability we got used to since the first CD players with remote control or even direct access keys on the front panel came out (I have got one for almost 20 years, a SONY as well). It also worked well with my Sony DVP-NS700V DVD/SACD-player. I studied the manual of the BDP. Nothing. My impression is that the manual omits everythig Sony was not sure about how or if it will be implemented, esentially the whole user interface. So they could say again, it was designed that way...

There is no competence for Sony at that price label and with those features. However considering the shortcomings I would be ready to pay Sony twice the price of the device if it were not only a half finished product (regarding the audio disc support)...

Nothing about that in the manual of the 2011 player, http://www.docs.sony.com/release/BDPS380.pdf, although that doesn't necesserily mean they haven't addressed this.

Has anyone noticed any added features in the 2011 models compared to the respective 2010 models ?

Skype and Sony HomeShare Wi-Fi Network Speaker compatibility, but only on selected models. The basic feature set seems to be the same.

Looks as if I'll be on the lookout for S570 close out prices.

Glad to hear other people have that problem with the track counter just showing T with SACDs. I find it really annoying.

S570 is a 3D BR player with wireless Network (Wif)
S470 is a 3D BR player
S370 is a 2D Br

So if there is no need for WI-FI the S570 has no advantage over the S470, is that correct ?
