In the March 2010 edition of Stereophile, Robert Baird reviews a vinyl re-issue of the first 4 Neil Young albums. The press release that Robert received indicates that there is a 24/176 PCM transfer that will be used for a SACD release. I e-mailed Robert to see if he has more information but he does not. Robert further cautioned that Neil sometimes takes a long while to get around to project completion.

Anyone else have leads on this?

Interesting, though I really doubt that this will happen. I mean, his entire catalogue has been issued on blu ray. Why should they release that stuff again on SACD? And also he has always used DVD-A before that, not SACD, since he is with Warner.

Well, I do wish that this is being considered, though.

And a lot of other titles too.
