Yes! (Provided this is not some sort of dated reissue)

According to the announcements by Hungaroton on the launch of their Bartok edition, only the solo piano material is taken from older recordings (made by Philips in the 1980's), all the rest are new recordings.

The recordings with piano and orchestra, not just the solo piano recordings, are early digital recordings made by Philips.

Believe it or not, the series is planned to comprise a total of 31 discs (hopefully all will be released as SA-CDs). There's a plethora of information on the Bartok New Series here:

http://www.bartoknewseries.com/english.asp?id=2

The link on that web page to "Published CDs" is of particular interest, with full details (booklet notes in their entirety) on each. The contents of Hungaroton's first SA-CD (Bartok: Concerto for Orchestra etc. - Zoltan Kocsis) are somewhat frustratingly planned to be redistributed among discs 5, 6, and 8.
