As for specific comparisons with the RTR versions: 1) When I 1st listened to my Rheingold/Ampex copy, detail was the most striking feature, like the the oboe's tremolos just before Alberich sings "Falsches Kind!Kalter grätiger Fisch!" and the "gold" theme in the woodwinds, right when Alberich is robbed of the ring, among several other details, even with extreme tape hiss and other analogical reproduction problems ( andmy copy is very dated and harmed!).
2) Contrary to the above mentioned aspect, the overall analogical "juice" isn't a unanimity; so my question is for the RTR people: considering that thereis another RTR version beside Ampex (from a caliofornia-based company called 'Stereoplay' or something), is this SACD version really superior to a good, analogical reproduction on a B-77 or some other semi or fully professional deck? Thanks.
