As to $59,99 SACDs, maybe elusivedisc could consider getting the SACDs directly from the source (Esoteric Japan), from what I see many XRCDs on your website are actually imports. It is true that "everyone likes to get paid" but at the same time no one wants to be ripped off.

One doesn't exclude another, if I remember correctly Esoteric SACDs include xrcd version on a CD layer

I compared the Bill Evans - Waltz for Debby AP SACD with the XRCD version (not in the BN series) and preferred the high resolution disc, so to me it's clear that WHEN DONE RIGHT a high resolution program (SACD and 24bit/96kHz) will always sound better than downsampled stuff. Personally I'm currently willing to invest in high resolution music only (although not $59,99 a disc), hopefully we're going to see the xrcd24 BN titles released in hi-rez in the future...
In our mind and ears XRCD24 is Hi-Rez...I know I'm talking sacrilege saying this on sa-cd.net...I suggest you try one for yourself and you tell me. What I always tell our customers is what sounds best to you is the best. Bob

And that importer has costs to cover. Like it or not, the sale of a limited quantity item like this outside of its home market is likely to have a markup on the domestic price due to the additional distribution costs.

Fortunately we live in a free country and get to buy what we want where we want to. I support that wholeheartedly....but claiming that Elusive Disc is extorting customers and Making 90 percent profit is not only untrue but totally without fact or merit. Bob

There's an easy way to put an end to the attacks accusing Elusive Disc of gouging customers. With facts: What is your markup on these discs? Both the single Esoteric SACDs and this Ring set?
