Hi all !
I'm trying to find this disc at a reasonnable price but, as you can see, it's one of these OOP silly prices SACD ...
However, I've just seen that there is a used copy at amazon.com at 7.96$, but I live in Belgium and international shipping isn't available.
Since the exchange rate €/$ is very high, I would like to try to find somebody who lives in the United States to help me.
Can some of you buy this disc for me and send it to me after receiving it ? I will, of course, pay the whole price (Amazon total price + shipping to Belgium).

I'd be willing but I highly doubt that $7.95 copy is actually SACD. I've received a lot of discs listed as SACD which were not. In fact, I'm building a stack of them.
It's unfortunate...

Mmmmh, maybe I'm a lucky man, but I've never had this problem. It happens that sometime, I receive an email saying that they actually didn't have it and that it was wrongly encoded in their datbase. And I had luck several times ago with rare OOP SACD at less than 10€.
For example, I got this one at 9.25$ in like new condition 7 months ago on Amazon.com and International Shipping was available :
Stravinsky: Le Sacre du printemps, L'Oiseau de Feu - Stravinsky
So I think there's hope that it's actually the SACD ... But, unfortunately, no International Shipping available this time ...

Edelweiss, sent you an email. I might be able to help.
michi is correct. It is a gamble for this title as I've seen plenty of the generic album databases mix together the regular CD releases with the SACD release (mixed titles, UPC codes, track list, etc). Unless of course you can confirm up-front with the seller that it is the SACD.

Not yet. Five so far, two of them the guy said "This is what Amazon said it was based on the bar code, not my problem." - And he was right, these were Abkco "no change but the media inside" issues.
And one, similar, "Nobody can hear the sound difference anyways." - that was rich. This was on Bjork 'Vespertine' which I'm still chasing down... In that case Amazon actually denied my claim and said it was accurate because the barcodes matched.(?)
Ebay and Amazon both have this 'bar code reports SACD' problem. It's caused me quite a headache.
Now though, I send messages to the seller first, even though there's a risk of losing out on the deal due to the time required for a response. If they don't respond, I don't buy.
And the same-sku ABKCO issues are a whole other ball of wax.
I did give them negative rating but, no big loss to them. I presume this is why some people have "98%" ratings -- stuff like this.

the only reason I'd neg rate is if they misrepresented *and* failed to respond. ("tough luck sucker") doesn't count.

Doesn't look good at this point, as I sent a message to the seller on the 5th asking them to clarify as to whether or not this was the SACD, and have heard nothing back.
Usually in this case, it means it's not the SACD.
If I hear anything, i'll order it and we can work something out and I'll send it to you at cost-only.. Granted it's pretty cheap, but I just don't think that copy is going to end up being SACD.

Never had that so far. I frequently run into this issue (every other week or so, with listings of Talk Talk and Groove Armada) and get two types of answers:
1) Sorry for the oversight, this is not the SACD but the regular CD.
2) What is SACD?
