Hello. New to both this Forum and I have never heard SACD before. Desire -how to put it- sweetness and richness above other qualities. Have 2 quite small loudspeakers (Spendor S3/5R) and a small room. Ordered an SACD/ CD disc of a pianist called Brautigam playing some Beethoven sonatas on a fortepiano. Today I saw that the Pioneer player was on sale at a very good price (NZ $400) I should think. What do people think of this player for SACD playback? I can't imagine being able to afford 5 good quality speakers but would like to know if people are pleased with the SACD multichannel sound from this player as well as 2 channel. And do people find this machine's operating noise to be acceptably low?
