Top Music has done a fine job in bringing the smooth jazz sounds of Acker Bilk to this SACD. For a relaxing trip down memory lane to the 60's, 70's, and 80's with the clarinet of the Bilkmeister as your guide, this could be a ticket to ride.

Nice release indeed, but I wish to listen samples for all this Asian SACDs. Some have samples on AMZ.JP, but the must part not have samples to listen.
In this Mr.Acker Bilk I already know his music style, so its not the case. If you already listen it, please, inform us how is the sound quality ?
Regards,

The sound is smooth and crystal clear. The mellow clarinet is up front, without a lot of growl, in the usual style of Acker Bilk. The SACD was pressed in Germany by someone who knew how to bring out the best from the source material and did provide excellent sound quality.

Having googled TOP MUSIC INTERNATIONAL which sells directly, their price for the Acker Bilk and Ella Fitzgerald/Louis Armstrong "Autumn In New York" is $32 [US] plus they do NOT accept credit cards @ this time...only Bank Drafts. Also, they have a hybrid Stereo SACD entitled "Almarro" with singer Leslie Ritter and guitarist Scott Petito [who has played with James Taylor, the Band, Keith Richards and Dave Brubeck]. Since the disc is not listed on SA-CD net, has anyone heard this disc and is willing to comment on the content/sound quality, etc.

The Hong Kong, Taiwan and Russian shops have to be paid by PAYPAL, this is normal, is easy as a credit card payment and works fine.
The Almarro is a new Hi-End Japanese Tube Amplifier maker, I have no listen this disc however.
Regards,

Thanks Full Range Man. I did find the American release of this album which is entitled "In the Silence" on RBCD from Amazon.com for $1.97 + postage and was able to sample the album. And you are correct, Almarro sponsored the TMI remaster and is a high-end Japanese tube amp manufacturer.

You can go to ebay and search for seller "internationalrecords" (of Hong Kong) and get this SACD for a lot less than USD$32.00. Very reliable seller.
