Excellent! Altinogu's rendition is mauch more "Polish" than the Zinman's w/London Sinfonietta and also sopranist Ingrid Perruche sings it as if the real mother would mourn the loss of her son than Dawn Upshaw, who is best in other contemporary music. 5*/5*

I strongly endorse Sylvian's view! There is only so much Gorecki I can take at a time, but the recording is very well done and the interpretation is probably the best of those three or so I have auditioned.
