I had become familiar with both artists (Frisell & Richter) through the work of David Sylvian. So this purchase was a logical step for me. Richter is no less extraordinary artist than the other two musicians I have mentioned. Although it could be ranked amongst experimental, I consider this enhanced multiformat piece of work very valuable addition to the contemporary art.

Dear Mr. Sylvian,
God news to know you are in this wonderful site. This Frisell SACD is not my kind of music, I like your solo CDs, they are very wanted here in Brazil.
But, as I no more buy regular CDs, I have no interest in any red book CD, cause the low rez bad sound.
I want your solo discs in SACD only, also the Sylvian + Czukay (Plight and Premonition and others... ).
Do you know if there is any chance your solo discs be released in SACD format ?
Regards,
Full

Just picked this one up used. I kinda like it actually. I have a feeling this kind of music will grow on me. The one part I don't think will grow on me, however, is the first two minutes of the first track, which is plain distortion. I wonder - is there way to edit this out (that is, start track one at minute 2 automatically, not manually, each time?

i do have another question - is there supposed to be a cd-rom that automatically pops up? i don't see it (on itunes, but, ahem, it's itunes). i'm just playing the cd layer right now ...
