Hi, I read the comment by the admin that the Supertramp Catalogue is controlled by a different Lable so it does not makes sense to vote on this one. Sorry.

BTW I just found out that my copy of 'Some Things Never Change' is a HDCD even though nothing about this is being stated on the CD or its case.

Aren't they tied up with Warner Music?

If that's the case you can probably forget about it.

Then high-rez blu-ray will do fine for me...

On another thread we discussed Rickie Lee Jones Pirates, which was on Reprise/WEA, but is about to be reissued on SACD by Mobile Fidelity, so all is not yet lost

Is your CD the import version?
http://www.amazon.com/Some-Things-Never-Change-Supertramp/dp/B000005RMJ/ref=wl_it_dp_o?ie=UTF8&coliid=I16G0LHPZDVNXN&colid=2CYK456W6QYHW

or the domestic US version?

Mine is the US, domestic BMG version. UPC = 632459000227 ISBN = 9786304494875 and I can confirm it is indeed an HDCD!!

I didn't know! This is great!
I am curious to know if the import version is HDCD also. (I have to assume it would be but you never know for sure)

Be well and thanks for the heads up!

Gabe.

In the States Supertramp was on A&M Records which is a Universal company. Perhaps in time it will appear as an SHM~SACD (and probably stereo only). IMO, Supertramp would be a no~brainer for multi~channel reissue!

Hifirene I just voted for Supertramp even though it's not on a Sony label. Right now I'm listening to "Crime of the Century" on MFSL LP and it sounds fantastic, should make a great SACD. So I searched to see if any Supertramp was available on SACD yet and discovered this thread.
