It certainly is of interest as far as i'm concerned. Are you still in to recording today ?

I no longer have a lathe. In 1994 we decided to move from London so had a moving sale where all our spare (plus the heavies!) equipment was sold. By then I had been in digital mastering for some years, so the cutting side was almost dead. A lot of my cutting equipment went to other London facilities, mainly for spares, but the best, and the historic, pieces were bought by Numa Labinsky for a "record museum" that he was planning in Wales. Very sadly, he was very ill when he came to the sale, and died the next day. The equipment was all collected from us, but whether or not the museum became a reality I have never found out. More Google when I have time!

All the rest of my gear came with us and comes in handy nowadays as less and less people have the older equipment. I even have the first ever demo CD's that Sony made prior to finalising their DSD concept. They once brought the first prototype 20 bit DAT to play to us in secret late one night - that was fun as it kept losing sync which made it rather difficult to hear the improvement!
