I order a lot of SACDs from Amazon both US and UK but when I click onto the recent additions on SA-CD net and click onto Amazon, the disc does not show up as an SACD. Yesterday, I ordered the new Chesky release Hancock Island ....There was a picture of the actual SACD on the website but not only did it NOT list the item as an SACD but when I enacted my one-click-ordering it showed up as an Audio CD (NOT SACD). Is there anythintg that can be done about this? It is frustrating having to return the disc and not only does one have to pay for s/h, but also forfeit the $2.98 shipping charge if the transaction is refunded! This also seems to be a trend on the AmazonUK site, as well.

With me the loss was greater. Since 2007 I have ordered five (5) times the stunning SACD A Brief Hystory/Penguim Cafe Orchestra, four times on Amazon.com and Sellers and one time on BN.com.
I have two miships and three refunds before shipping due stock 'problem'(stock zero). Resulting now I have two (2) regular CDs of this item, that I pay 100 percent of taxes in cash at the Brazilian Custom House.
Amazon.com and Barnes.com do not have this item in SACD, but Amazon.com still today continue advetise this SACD to sell. Nobody fix this obvious fail.
The Penguin CD have two bar codes: 724381148723 (original CD backcover) and 724381284827 (outside clued label with date 08/08/06)
If I lost money many people around the world may have lost too.
I get Tange/Rubycon SACD after 3 years trial at the cost of 94 euros.

Are you saying you ordered from Amazon directly (not a third-party seller) and physically received a CD, not a SA-CD? The disc you received has a barcode of 090368034168? If so, this is a problem I can fix and it's best to report such occurrences to me so I can do something about it. What Amazon lists the title as is largely irrelevant as all they're concerned about is supplying the disc with the underlying UPC.

The UPC for the Penguin Cafe SA-CD is 724381284827. If you order from Amazon directly, this is the disc you'll receive as they ship by barcode. Looking at the current links for this disc, it's out of stock by Amazon (all stores) so if anybody is ordering this disc from a third-party seller they may want to check with the seller that the UPC is as above. Third-party sellers sometimes aren't as diligent as they should be. It would appear from your comments however that Virgin have used shortcuts in the packaging/labeling of this disc which probably doesn't help.

I've yet to come across this problem at Amazon UK, although there have been occasions when I've contacted them to say their listing info is incorrect.

I pre-ordered the latest Genesis boxset on Amazon.ca last August. When it was finally released in November, Amazon sent me the North American Atlantic version on CD. Of course, I sent it back and notify them of the mistake. So they sent me...the same CD boxset. Sent it back again, of course, but then, I have been told that they could not correct their mistake. I got a refund but I will never buy from Amzaon again...

Did you follow the links from this site, or search and order from amazon.ca directly? As previously stated, Amazon fulfills orders by UPC (barcode) not description so if you use the links from here you'll receive the correct version (unless of course I've got the links wrong). Amazon.ca shows this title as available on December 23 so I'm guessing you simply ordered the wrong set.

Well your guess is wrong... I did not order the wrong set... I syill have a printed copy of my order which cleraly states "Hybrid-Sacd Import". Amazon.ca even acknowledged the mistake was theirs but refused to send me the right version. After many email exchanges and a phone call, I have been told that the only thing they could do was to reimburse me. Then they invited me to order that same item again...for almost twice the original price.

Is the ASIN on your shipment notice B001CBW1B2? If not, you ordered the WRONG set. The point I'm trying to make is that you should ignore the descriptions on Amazon, and go with the item linked to from THIS site. Not only will this avoid such confusion, doing so will also help support this site.
