Castor's review encouraged me to buy this, and although Africa is a wonderful piece I didn't really know, the rest was let-down. The Samson and Delilah was especially disappointing. Sound was okay, though.

I love this disc, especially the way they reshuffled the content from the original CD releases -- there's another disc with the Requiem and Organ Symphony (which were on seperate discs originally) - I'd suggest avoiding it.
I don't get how people can enjoy the long ponderous bordom of Bruckner, yet poopoo pieces like the Tarentelle and La Muse et La Poet (not to mention the rare Sarabande & Rigaudon) that get very fine performances here.

I'll agree that the "Samson and Delilah" excerpt was very boring. It's not the best SACD in my collection, but my impressions of it are positive.
Tarantelle for Flute, Clarinet and Orchestra was great in addition to Africa. This isn't a must-have disc, but is still a pleasant contrast to much of the heavy romantic music (how many Mahler and Bruckner cycles do we need?) we're accustomed to finding on SACD.

I imagine that it is.
The disc was re-mastered for SACD by Phil Rowlands who could probably confirm the source for you.
