To all:

I would advise caution when purchasing this disc. It seems it is being reissued as a redbook CD. And it seems that most of the vendors don't know the difference. I checked out several of the links here and got the redbook disc, but JPC showed the SACD. Unfortunately when I placed my order, they shipped the redbook.

No word yet on whether or not they can actually supply the SACD. I hope so, because I like this pianist.

If you can tell me the barcode, I'll remove all links to this version. Thanks.

The barcode is 3760051450304.

Crotchet calls their version a CD, but all the Amazon sites say it is an SACD that requires a special player. But they don't show bar codes. The product number (21017) matches the CD JPC sent me. It was also only listed on the Amazon sites in their marketplaces until recently--another sign that they are adding the redbook disc.

I suspect it was released as a single layer SACD in 05, and is now being issued as a redbook disc (with the typical confusion).

Thanks,
Bret

And, by the way, it's been five days without a response from JPC.

A hybrid rather. Amazon often says "SACD player required" for hybrids.

JPCs customer service is competent, but very slow.

I removed the Crotchet link. If you follow any of the other links here you should end up with a SA-CD.
